The Experience Resort-Lake Facing

This is a very convenient hotel close to the old part of Udaipur. It is on the lake side and our room had a view across the lake from very large windows. The room was big, the bathroom could have had more space for toiletries but was fine. The staff were lovely. We had dinner at the hotel the first night and it was outstanding with dishes having depth of flavour. An excellent chef! Breakfast had everything you needed and cooked dishes, both western and Indian, were all cooked fresh. A lovely place to stay.

This was more than just a place to spend the night. This was a "home," a place where we could just be ourselves and be surrounded by smiling, helpful staff who went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Yes, there are more luxurious properties in Udaipur, but where else would we get the warm, personalized service that made us feel like we were part of the Experience Resort family? Kalpana, the fabulous on-site manager, arranged a door-to-door trip to the Leela Palace for an unforgettable dinner, a superb cooking class with Dhungari Kitchen, outings to local sites, and transport to the airport. Without her help our visit would have been so much less rewarding and easy. Purni and Sabina's smiles and laughs in the dining area made our experiences so enjoyable, and by the way, we found the restaurant food to be excellent. We found our lake-facing room comfortable and relaxing, and the location is very good. But more than anything, it is the people which make The Experience Resort a place which we can recommend.

The property is nicely located in Udaipur with views over the lake. The staff were amazing and we couldn't rate the service any higher! The restaurant is lovely and breakfast buffet is great value. The all day dining menu is also great value and wonderful food. There are two trees intertwined in their entrance, one being the Banyan and the other, I think, the Bodhi tree. They are both revered trees so the staff conduct a Hindi blessing every evening at the tree. It's just beautiful. We were invited to join them on our last evening which really was a privilege. The property is very clean, especially the rooms. We really want to thank all the team for such a lovely stay, we couldn't have asked for anything more. We said "we arrived as friends and left as family". Special thanks to Chef Mathur, Purnima, Bharat in the restaurant plus all backend kitchen team members. I appreciated being able to unwind without being too far from the action. As for the dining options, the food was slightly better than average. While it wasn't extraordinary, it was still satisfying and offered a decent variety to choose from. One of the standout aspects of my stay was the attentive staff. They were friendly and always willing to help, ensuring that my needs were met throughout my visit. Additionally, the resort maintained a high standard of cleanliness, which contributed to a pleasant overall experience. I would recommend The Experience Resort to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in a convenient location, with a supportive staff and a clean environment.

We went there for a mini honeymoon right after our wedding in Udaipur and the staff was very accommodating, helping to create quite the surprise package for my wife with fresh flower pedals, a cake, balloons, special ceremonies and more. Apart from that, best water pressure in the bathroom i had in all of India, very clean and modern. The chef is very skilled and a nice international and local breakfast spread. The middle eastern dishes were exceptional. Location is right in the heart of the city but like an oasis of peace and quiet once you step through the gates. I recommend everyone, especially couples to visit Udaipur and stay here.
